Horseback riding

A friend in my ward takes care of horses and we went over to her house on Saturday and got to ride them for Kaylee's birthday. We all had a really good time. JJ loved being on the horse all by himself and Kaylee loved the little buggy ride. She kept telling the horse to go faster and faster, but with a 30 year old horse we just got a little jog out of him. Let me tell you it was a little scary riding the horse. First of all, its rather hard to get up on it! And getting down was just as hard. Matthias had no trouble of course!

Easter Fun

We went to some fun Easter activities thru the city of Opelika. They had an Easter egg hunt and the kids got tons off eggs. We also dyed some eggs later that day and JJ and Kaylee actually ate the eggs, minus the yellow part. Then on Sunday we had our own Easter egg hunt in our yard. Grant sure got a hang of it very quickly. He kept running around getting all the "balls" and then of course he figured out how to open them up and get the good stuff!

Pensacola, FL

We went to Pensacola this week and had a really good time. We went and saw Ft. Pickens which was really cool. We also checked out the Naval Aviation Museum. Their were lots of old planes their from several wars and you could sit in several planes. And of course we went to the beach everyday. The white sand was so nice and the water felt so good. However, Grant did not agree. He refused to touch the sand, and if it did touch him it had to be wiped off quickly.

New Pictures

We had lots of fun this last week. Kaylee had her Christmas program and party at school. Santa also came to her school for a visit so that was fun. We also made gingerbread houses. JJ ate his whole gingerbread house within 4 hours of making it. He loves his sweets! We also got some free tickets to an Auburn basketball game yesterday. It was really fun. We sat 3 rows from the floor. Kaylee and JJ got on the big screen because they were so cute cheering for Auburn. Kaylee was sooo stinkin' cute there cheering like the cheer leaders. She watched what they did and then copied them. We also got to see some cool dunks and one crazy block. Fun times!

Happy Birthday Grant!

Grant is 1 now! He has seriously been the best baby. He is so sweet and has always been so good. His first couple months he just ate, they would just chill on the blanket for a while, then fall asleep on his own. He still plays so well on his own and boy does this kid love to eat! No food goes to waste in this house. He is getting so smart and still staying so sweet. I am so thankful to be his mom!
